Reviews of Farnley Tower Guesthouse

Maria
The hotel was wonderful small and spotless with lovely views of castle. The staff was willing to help and especially accommodating. The room was really unique and neat, exceptionally comfortable beds. The breakfast was gorgeous, a great selection of food. The location of this venue near Farnley Tower and very, very frequent buses into Durham and back and town centre down a hill was good. Furthermore, in the Indian restaurant in the evening.

Its views were relaxing.
This accommodation had a residential setting in the the warmer month the garden would be very handy as it has good views.

The breakfast was lovely and luxury with yoghurt, gluten-free options and fantastic views, paying attention to little details. I truly enjoyed the central location plus the staff was willing to help. I ate at the attached restaurant near the hotel: )

As for me, the location is marvellous, close enough to city centre. Everyone who works in the hotel is superfriendly and amazingly kind. The rooms are beautifully designed and airy, equipped with tea/coffee and a storage.

The hotel was set in a central area just off the town center, and a quiet residential suburb of Durham- probably 10 minutes walk from the town. The breakfast served was amazing and luxury with a nice view, gluten-free options, badly burnt coffee.

Debbie
The hotel had a great location near the Oriental Museum and the beautiful city center. The room was spacious, airy, and had a unique design. It also had a garden and provided a nice view. The bathroom was very nice. The staff was always helpful and available during our stay.

Marvellous location in general, accommodating and incredibly kind staff at check-out. The place to have dinner at a moderate distance from the hotel is Fifty Six Restaurant. The units are airy, unique with great views of the castle.
-
John
It was reasonably priced. View was picturesque, breakfast was savoury, and beds were very big. Authentic cuisine was served in the attached restaurant.

Brand-new unit with a nice decor, top-class staff at check-out. A storage space and coffee — very useful. Location: quiet and perfect, near beautiful Durham as well as Durham-Cathedral, River Walk, Castle/Uni.
Poor breakfast.
